It's my philosophy that your patients and clients come first. I strive to work within established hospital protocols to maximize efficiency and meet/exceed client expectations. Your team knows your clients best; their input and advice is always welcomed. My goal is to provide quality care that is consistent and uninterrupted, despite the regular doctor's absence. I strive to work closely with each clinic to learn its individual policies and practices, allowing me to treat clients and patients in a way that is familiar and reliable. I work well with a wide variety of personalities and can adapt to various protocols. I'm comfortable working on my own, as well as alongside the clinic owner or associates. As a former owner and manager of a profitable clinic, I understand the economics of running a veterinary practice.
Locum services at your clinic are available a daily or weekly basis. I can help your clinic by providing the following services:
Office calls and examinations: I enjoy client-patient relationships Basic soft tissue surgery: I am quite comfortable performing routine soft tissue surgeries, but do not perform cosmetic ear crops, orthopedic surgeries. Thorough medical work ups: I love the challenge of internal medicine Basic dentistry First visits for puppies and kittens Complete and legible medical records: keeping detailed medical records to facilitate transition of care to other veterinary team members
As an independent contractor I have:
Illinois veterinary and controlled substance licenses Accreditation DEA license Professional liability insurance Federal Identification Number Personal health insurance Taken care of all State and Federal taxes
Services are charged on an hourly basis, with a 6 hour daily minimum. I don't have a maximum number of hours per day that I'm willing to work. I am available on weekends and some holidays. Accommodation and travel expenses will be covered by the clinic. I would be comfortable with either private housing or a hotel. A mileage charge is assessed from home base.
