About Me
Illinois
Veterinary Relief
After having earned my DVM from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981, I ventured to Southern Illinois to escape the long, bitter winters.  Here I accepted a position as an associate veterinarian, and enjoyed running field trial bird dogs.  There I met my best friend and we were married in 1987.

I have been in companion animal private clinical practice since graduation. For nine years I owned and operated a profitable veterinary clinic, and have 11 years experience as a dedicated relief veterinarian.

My husband, Jim and I reside in rural Madison County. For 20 years, we enjoyed competing in pointing dog field trials.  We bred, trained and campaigned English pointers.  We raised and trained multiple classic winners, regional and national champions.

Our passion now is wildlife management.  We own Birch Creek Farm in Greene County, Illinois on which we are developing optimum habitat for quail, deer, turkey, and other native wildlife.  In 2010 we were awarded "Illinois Wildlife Land Owner of the Year" for Region 4 by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources

Together Jim and I enjoy fishing, (both salt water and freshwater), hunting,                (archery and firearm), and nature photography.
